[ENG SUB] Sandy & Junior - A Lenda | The Legend

Sandy & Junior was a pop duo consisting of siblings Sandy Leah Lima and Durval de Lima Junior. They're Xororó's children. Sandy is one year older than Junior, being born in 1983 while her younger brother was born in 1984. They performed on television for the first time in 1989 with the song Maria Chiquinha, originally by singers Geysa Bôscoli & Guilherme Figueiredo in 1961.

Two years later, Sandy & Junior released their first studio album, Aniversário do Tatu, and ever since they had been a major success in Brazil. They broke sales records and had many #1 songs.

They remained together until 2007, when they publicly announced the end of the duo and released a final acoustic dvd with their major hits.

While together, they released 12 studio albuns, including an international one (in both english and spanish versions, consisting of newly written songs as well of english/spanish versions of their portuguese songs). They had also worked in brazilian movies and had their own tv series on Rede Globo.

Nowadays, after the duo breakup, Sandy is working on a solo carrer and Junior works as a music producer and hosts a YouTube channel alongside his friend Bruno Bock, in which they talk about music-related stuff.

"A Lenda" is a song from 2000, being included as a bonus studio track on their live album "As Quatros Estações - O Show".

Heeey ! I’m late but I’m really intrigued about what they mean when they say “se a lua toca no mar, ela pode nos tocar”? My first language is french so I immediately did a comparison with the word “toucher” which means also “affected” at the same time that it can also mean “touch” as an act of touching someone or something. So I want to know if “ela pode nos tocar” means “the moon can also affect/stir us [by its story with the sea]” and if “tocar” can have the same meaning as in french too ? Thank you so much you will help me so much to progress in Portuguese! (You can answer me in Portuguese I easily understand it I’m just not fluent so I prefer to say it in English 😇)
