Pentagon officials briefed the media after the U.S. military said a Russian Su-27 fighter jet collided with an American MQ-9 Reaper drone over the Black Sea on Tuesday. The incident was "demonstrative of very unprofessional, unsafe airmanship" by Russian pilots, Pentagon Press Secretary Air Force Brig. Gen. Pat Ryder said.

Firstly, how can the US general know that the UAV propeller was smashed if the wreckage has not yet been lifted from the sea?
Secondly, what did the U.S. UAV do near the borders of Russia with the identification devices turned off?
Thirdly, why did the UAV fly secretly near the borders of Russia, in violation of all international norms?
