Incredible. The tweeting of the birds (singing) parts normally covered by the violins, but here by the sopranino, actually sounded like birds! Amazing. Maybe is was always intended for recorders/blockflöten.

Spätestens mit dieser Darbietung hat das Arrangement und das BBO gezeigt, wie man mit Blockflöten ein Streichkonzert in den Schatten stellen kann. Ab jetzt fällt es mir schwer, das Stück von Vivaldi in seiner ursprünglichen Fassung zu genießen, weil das Holzblasinstrument hier eine Qualität an den Tag legt, die seinesgleichen sucht. Frühling - mit Recorder absolut authentisch und traumhaft schön! 😍

Auf der Website des Orchesters las ich, dass die Spieler/-innen "ambitionierte Amateure" sind. Da staune ich aber, denn die Dame am Sopranino/Solo Sporan spielt auf einem Niveau, dass man nur ehrfürchtig staunen kann! BRAVO!
