Code P0300 is a common code on higher mileage vehicles. It can have a lot of causes: engine blowby, vacuum leak, bad PCV, bad coil pack, bad plug wires, bad plugs, etc. if the spark plugs are original, start there.

That's craziness leaving spark plugs in for 100k miles. I bought a work van that developed a miss with no codes, come to find out the plug was missing the ground and the rest were almost gone. 164k I don't see how it was even running other than being a great engine (5.4 3-V)

So changing the pcv valve and the spark plugs made the code go away?
