You really have to appreciate how Vide was made to contrast Galdera from the previous game.

- Galdera was one of the original thirteen gods, standing by the others before his ambition got the better of him. Vide was a separate god-tier threat from the start.
- Galdera sought the power to rule the world, perhaps the universe, while Vide sought to destroy it outright.
- Galdera was resurrected by his daughter Lyblac, who did so with a passion to fight alongside him. Vide was resurrected by Oboro, who'd lost his passion for anything else in life.
- While both of Galdera's theme titles technically apply to Lyblac ("The One They Call Witch" and "Daughter of the Dark God"), both of Vide's theme titles directly apply to him ("Vide the Wicked") and what he stands for ("Those Who Deny The Dawn").
- The vocals of both themes match the gender of the person who revived them - female for Galdera, male for Vide.
- Both phases of Galdera require separate teams of four party members. Vide draws out the second set of four during his first phase... and the strength of his second phase warrants all eight of them.
- Galdera's "last stand" move is to reduce the party's HP to 1, from which they can still heal or revive. Vide's "last stand" move forces the player to guess their limits by making death _permanent._
