This is an interesting program. There is no Peanut Gallery or Clarabell. Buffalo Bob says they are in Arizona. Buffalo Bob and Chief Featherman trade laughs and smiles during the Mars Cocoanut commercial.

This is before the thin nylon strings, that is fishing string, was used for the marionettes. That’s why you see so many strings on them!

The world has changed so much. The age of innocence is gone.

I’m genuinely scared of the drum noise at 8:19

I am sure the Chief Featherman character was created so Bob Keeshan could stop complaining about not being paid equally as the others because Clarabelle didn't talk. The two Clarabelles who suceed Keeshan, first Bobby Nicholson, and later Lew Anderson, were, unlike Keeshan, professional musicians who often played on camera (Nicholson on piano and trombone; Anderson on the clarinet), so they got their Clarabelle pay AND [at least] Musicians Union scale.

Not a bad episode.  However, think there was a sort of a blooper when Buffalo Bob backed in the cactus [ was it supposed to fall over?].  Personally, Bob Keeshan wasn't that bad as Chief Featherman but was better as Clarabell.
