Clarence Hill provides the news of where things sit with a CeeDee Lamb extension: “According to a source, the Cowboys are making progress on a deal with Lamb. Nothing has been agreed or consummated but the team has increased its offer to Lamb to above $33 million annually. And the Cowboys have narrowed the length of a prospective deal to four years.”

A CeeDee Lamb extension should have been done months ago. Instead, the Cowboys have dragged their feet. Here’s Cowboys Report host Tom Downey’s contract extension best guess:

ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler also updates the Dak Prescott contract situation: ““They’re gonna try to get Prescott done before Week 1 as well and double down on both these guys and spend a ton of money. So, it’s still unclear if they can pull this off. Prescott, if you talk to people in and around the situation, he’s well aware of how well he could do in free agency if he were to let this ride out, play well again, put up a huge QBR, and then be there in March for $60 million a year — whatever it’s gonna cost. It’s gonna cost a lot,” Fowler said. “So, I don’t think both sides want that. They want to try to shake this out with a deal, but it’s gonna take a lot of leg work over the next two weeks.”

Deuce Vaughn is firmly on the roster bubble with just over 24 hours to go until roster cuts. While Jerry Jones was praiseworthy of our smol king at RB, saying “Gadget juice and at non-gadget times. He's going to be interesting for us,” that doesn’t mean he’s a roster lock.

If you give the ball to Zeke inside the 5 yard line
He is going to average less than 4 yards a carry it’s basic math. Yards are hard to get inside the red zone. And that’s Zeke’s role now. He is a goal line runner, so expect low yards per carry.
But if Zeke can get 8-12 TDs inside the red zone/goal line. It’s a great thing for the team.

I know Zeke isn’t gonna be “old” Zeke now he’s just old Zeke going into year 9. However, I think he can do for rico like he did for pollard he’ll wear down defenses early game and early downs and Rico can use that to make big plays.

I tried watching the live show on Saturday. It's just weird following a live show when you could be watching the broadcast. So I focused on the broadcast. I agree when Tom Lance was bad! The sad part is decent mobile QBs have made a living on using the TEs over the middle which is what I was looking for Lance I haven't any of that with Lance. Everything was running, flat routs, and 50/50 deep shots. I don't' know if that is bad playcalling or bad QB play (I'm gonna put that on the QB although I wanna blame the playcaller. I'm still mad about the Green Bay loss!)
