Year 13/A2 Pure Chapter 11.6 (Integration) - TRADITIONAL METHOD
Показать описание
This video introduces a method of integration known as integration by parts.
Integration by parts is a crucial calculus skill, and one which students can struggle with - lots of decision-making, negative signs aplenty and sometimes the method needs to be used more than once in the same question. After trying to find a more fool-proof method, I think I have won :) - thanks to #blackpenredpen, who calls this the 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐃𝐈 𝐌𝐄𝐓𝐇𝐎𝐃. I will link this method here:
Here though I'm focusing on the "traditional" method to tackle integration by parts questions as this shows clearly the result being baked into the method.
This lesson is meant as preparation for Exercise 11F, page 309 of the Pearson Edexcel Pure Mathematics Year 2/A2 Textbook.
