Old style Home Computers are coming back thanks to single board computers. That's awesome!

Man I wanted to like this device but I can't believe you have to remove a cover to get to the power switch. What were they thinking.

I wish there was a separate thumbs down for the device. Good video but disappointing device. It was really an idea I like. EDIT: With some modifications it could be saved but if I need to modify it then it better be dang cheap.
EDIT 2: $50???? Really?

If they were gonna make that big, at least they should put a ssd bay to add extra storage!

Anyone releasing one of these with a mechanical keyboard and mouse pad with room for a bootable SSD is going to be onto a winner, I am surprised the RPF did not make use of the new boot from USB capabilities of the PI4

Good idea, bad execution. There could a market for these Keyboard PC kits if made with better and more thought out design language for certain SBC's maybe a premium Keyboard with mechanical switches.

Personally I'd like to see one of these kits with a decent trackpad, Keyboard, media keys, audio I/O, Display port and built in speakers with an SBC that can run windows decently. Basically all in one pc with specs that could play up to early windows 7 games with decent internet would be pretty fun and portable. I can dream.

Looks cheap, I just want a black version of the pi 400 keyboard.

I've had two keyboards for ten years. Logitech and Microsoft. Both about 7 euro apiece. I bought the Microsoft one because it had the same <enter>-key layout as my laptop. Both are fine and working perfectly. Best keyboards I ever bought. Why pay more for lousy clickers?

This DIY thing doesn't have the best choices. Wireless? In a case? Sure, great, more batteries. And all-black? I am really done with that. I think the new Pi 400 is gorgeous and issue free.

I bought this a few months ago and I'm still buying s Pi 400. Having the GPIO easily accessible is the main reason

ugh, the first thing that came to mind with this is, unfortunately, 'cheap shit' .... who in their right mind forces you to use a wireless keyboard/trackpad on an AIO...

Glad that there is enough of an ecosystem that different companies can come out with keyboard case options. I get a feeling something affordable and expandable will come. This one is just affordable. Thank you for the review!

I really like the appearance of this, gives me some Amstrad vibes, but the questionable decision to go wireless and very odd switch placement kills it for me. Thanks for the review. You might have saved me a few bucks

That door to access the on/off switch though... 🤦🏻‍♂️😆😂🤣

That thing is just an off-he-shelf wireless keyboard tacked inside a larger case... The whole thing looks like an afterthought. Horrible.

I want a Raspberry pi 4 in a commodore64 form factor that I can actually use as a daily driver.
My main gripes with the pi 400 is that an 8gig model doesn't exist and there is no room to shoehorn in a SSD, and finally that the keyboard looks like cheap garbage.
I saw this video and thought maybe a company actually understood what needed to be fixed on the PI 400 but they made the same mistakes and more.

My wishlist is a PI 400 with 8 gigs of ram, ability to open the case easy with a latch or thumbscrews, mechanical keyboard or even ability to replace keyboard with mechanical upgrade, internal usb3 connector with enough space for a 2.5" drive.

ETA PRIME you made a fantastic video so absolutely none of this criticism is directed anywhere even vaguely in your direction, keep doing what you're doing.

I haven't finished watching the entire video yet and I already prefer the official one.
