Marvel is the best. I bought a skid steer that had sat in a barn for 7 years and the cylinders were seized up. I took the spark plugs out and put a quarter cup of Marvel in each one. I bought it 5 years ago and it's still running. They thought the motor was shot so I only paid $1200 for it. Best deal I've ever gotten.

Flip it over and add the fluid from the bottom. The compression ring is keeping anything from getting down the cylinder.

Been using good old vinegar in the machine shop for years. It works awesome

One of those cylinders should have been filled up with Coca-Cola

I heard if you just add more water to the cylinders eventually your problem will disappear!😊

I’ve had good luck with Marvel Mystery oil for some applications.
I’ve also made my own mix of things at times.
Four gallons of kerosene and one gallon of PB Blaster additive is what I used in my parts cleaner.
An old guy that didn’t believe in “that stuff” dropped a rusty crescent wrench and a frozen-by-dirt ratchet into the tank one day.
I was using the tank some time later, and found the tools.
The ratchet was loosened up, so I cleaned out the gears with solvent l, and the crescent wrench was totally free.
A run past the wire wheel cleaned up the appearance.
He wasn’t at work that day, so I simply laid the tools on his bench.

He was impressed!

I think that what you have going on with a different rust eater in each cylinder is probably the best test one could ask for.
Don’t forget to check the rod and crank bearings!

You guys should pull the distributor and/or camshaft gear to avoid issues associated with those systems.

Hey so idk if you’ll see this or not but try mixing acetone and trans fluid, 75% trans fluid and 25% acetone. This is an old trick and has never failed me in clearing up rust and stuck on parts. Cheaper and better than pb blaster

Because wd-40 isn't a lube per say, it's a moisture displacement solution (wd = water displacement)

Position a heat gun at the opening of the water pump leave it on for an hour or so.

Vinegar is a great rust remover. Not too long, though. It's aggressive !

If anyone is seeing this and has a sized engine I had a boat motor (in-line 4 cylinder) that was locked up I tried everything, heat, all kind of fluids, and the thing that worked in like 30 seconds was transmission fluid and acetone mixed I did heat the top of the piston a little not sure if that helped but I was able to get it broke free pretty quick. Hope this helps someone

Back in the 70s Grandpa would soak the whole engine in a tub of kerosene.

Penetrene. Unseized a locked motor in a day. Replaced oil and compression rings, light hone, job done.
