she is very cool. i had a ton of facebook discussions with her late at night when she was not a big name in 2009-2010 and 2011. she was always on facebook late at night and we discussed all sort of topics. we discussed astronomy, politics, music, pets and animals and pretty much anything.

she echos my feelings on metal exactly.
the talent pool in the metal community is incredible. several metal song writers making music today would fit in very well among classical age composers had they been born in that era.
Even if you don't LIKE metal music, you would be very hard pressed to find a valid argument that (overall) the genre is not objectively a masterclass in composition.
the genre also simply allows instrumental talent to completely spread its wings. You play at ANY skill level, there is a metal genre to compliment it.
You push boundaries and set records? metal is the only contemporary genre that allows that due to it's fundamentally anti-commercial nature (in that, if something would crash the safe market in pop or country, it is likely going to be a hit in the metal scene).
