Private aid and faith-based groups have been working to assist migrants at the U.S.-Mexico border. The city of El Paso, Texas, has been particularly overwhelmed by arrivals, as people had been anticipating an end to the pandemic-era border policy known as Title 42. Dylan Corbett, executive director of the Hope Border Institute, joined CBS News to discuss the situation.

Mighty nice of them to help these people but don't help our own first, country is a mess but we're gonna give hand outs to foreigners! Not too smart!

Skid row in California is a prime example of how the system is truly broken. How is there money for war and private groups catering to illegal immigrants...but nothing can be done about the most over populated mistreated communities within California. Least we forget Kingston ave in Philly. Take a look around and ask yourselves what's really happening.

They were poor in their country & they will be poor here, & even if they work, the taxpayers will have to support them, cause you can’t support yourself & family on a minimum wage job in the US

Set up buses at the border, give them a QR code to apply for the appropriate visa and send them home. If they chose to apply for asylum, give them the option to be relocated to a safe asylum camp until their case is adjudicated. Their transportation home and safe asylum camp should be funded by the U.N. and NGOs.

What about all the homeless AMERICAN FAMILY'S? VETERANS? What about helping them instead of people who are criminals breaking the law? This is unacceptable and treasonous.

It's actually the people of El Paso, the smaller more poorer Hispano churches of El Paso, the shelters, the mayor, Red Cross, and Sun Metro that are helping the people on the street. The rich churches and organizations don't want to get involved.
