The Story of Nesk: The Crownless Killing Machine

After his esport of choice collapsed, André "nesk" Oliveira found his calling in Rainbow Six: Siege. But he wanted to play the game his way.

nesk was basically the living, breathing embodiment of Brazilian Siege. He was rowdy, rambunctious and unremittingly aggressive. He took his region’s famous ferociousness, multiplied it, and brought it to Rainbow in a big way.

And in a year where we saw several of the game’s GOATs call it quits, nesk proved that not all old dogs are in need of new tricks.

This is his story.

The GOAT for sure, i am the official Ubisoft Brazil Caster and had the oportunity to see all of that with my own eyes. I cast his matches since battlefield 4 tournament and i can tell this is only the begining.

It’s sad that Nesk doesn’t get a lot of the recognition he deserves because he isn’t in NAL/EUL

We need the Story of Paluh. He and Nesk played so well in this year's Siege Invitationals. He got the news that his father passed away during his game yet he didn't lose his confidence. He went on to dominate in Finals. He's a legend and needs his video.

they say you haven’t truly felt the r6 lan experience until nesk claps you. consistently one of the best for nearly his entire career and one of the undisputed GOATs of the game

Watching Nesk destroy TSM in Oregon on the semifinals of this year’s Six Invitational was probably the best thing I’ve ever seen

After the blue stairs kill my team exclusively calls the stairs "Nesk stairs." He owns those stairs

I've been following TheScoreeSports for quite some time and have never been more happy to see a player being featured than Nesk. And also I was almost in tears when I saw BF4 Competitive being featured on this channel 😭

The Battlefield Competitive Scene was always rather unnoticed by the public and constantly had to fight a developer who didn't seem to give a sh... about its competitive scene. I have always said that BF4 had some of the most incredibly talented FPS competitors in the world and even though the scene was small, the skill gap and potential of the worlds best players was just insane. BF4 especially was a really quick and reaction / movement / aim based game. When RB6S came out I saw a lot of former BF Pros switching to RB6 and it didn't surprise me, that they ruled the competition right from the start - both on Console where I mostly played and on PC. Makes me really happy to see guys like Nesk and Julio doing well, but also kind of sad because of the insane potential BF lost, when they decided to kick competitive play from their agenda completely after BF4.

In this year's invitational Nesk showed why he is so respected outside the server and even feared inside of it, cause he's performance and impact was just outworldly. His ability to shine in situations where the team most needs him is incredible. Unfortunatly the crown didn't come this time, but there's aways another chance and it will certainly come.

Nesk is the s1mple of siege. Arguably the most mechanically skilled player but has never won a major.

If Nesk doesn't retire with a major international title under his belt, then it'll be outrageous. I don't think a single player in the history of R6 has been more consistently dominant than him.

Never underestimate a brazilian with a good salary.
They completely changed their game at the moment they could go full time work with only playing and planning this game.

There's a really good clip of Pengu (or Fabian, not sure) where they review the Liquid vs Penta Finals on Border. Penta was defending Vent and Server, Fabian was sitting in Vents close to the window, and a one of the Brazilian players named Mav with no intel vaults in: looks right sees Fabian, looks left and turns back right to shoot Fabian, all while go through the vaulting animation. Needless to say Fabian loses the fight. Brazilian players man.

As someone in SSG once said : you don’t know what playing siege really means until nesk has clapped you at lan once

Canadian, Lycan (SSG coach), Fabian, Pengu, Beaulo. Theyve all said it's a right of passage to be stomped by Nesk.
