It depends on what you want. The LE has a softer, smoother ride, but for just $500 more the SE comes with a lot of extra stuff.

I drove the 2012 Honda Accord LX and the 2012 Toyota Camry LE.I got the Camry because it had a smother ride, lets in less road noise and no joke the stereo is 3 times better. If I wanted the stiffer ride I could have saved money and got the Honda Accord. The Toyota SE looks nicer with the fog lights but there is one downside the SE because of the added looks 'ground effects' on the bottom when going up and down curbs it will scrap the bottom of the SE kit that is made out of plastic. Quality is the same again if you want stiffer sportier ride save money and get the Honda Accord LX. The Toyota LE is more money than the Honda LX but smother ride better stereo ans less road noise .I have been buying Honda and Toyota cars new from 1987 till today.

Vehicle prices change regularly, so check Toyota's website for the latest prices. The starting price of a 2012 Toyota Camry L with the 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine is currently $22, 815. The starting price of a Camry LE is $23, 980 with the same 4-cylinder engine is now $23, 360, or $545 more than the base L. The SE with the 4-cylinder starts at $23, 980, which is $620 more than the LE and $1, 165 more than the L.

The problem is that you may have a hard time finding an LE or SE at the starting price. Most Camrys on dealer's lots will have some options installed, which will increase the price.

I had a LE as a rental. It was actually very well equipped for being a base model. I'd get a SE V6 though, and I may be when I pay off ym 2003 4Runner. I'd give the 4Runner to my mom though, she like SUV's and she isn't very up with the times with how fast technology is advancing. She still have a iPhone 4 and the 5S/6 is going to be coming out soon!.

Oh, and the SE doesn't have and different panels. It just includes a body kit and different rims.

just bought a '13 SE i4 last weekend for $19, 300 / $21, 393 out the door. Truecar had it listed at $18, 800 with no options in Atlanta, so armed with that price I went up from that. They are really trying to get rid of these cars because the sticker price for my car was $24, 700. I admit the Accord looked a little better but the Camry was more comfortable and $5400 off a new car that was just redesigned last year is too good to pass up.

I have the SE, looks sleek, the curvier side panels make it look less boxy, the LE just plain sucks. For $500 the SE all the way.
