Paul continuously teaches to walk in the spirit and not the flesh, which is consistent with Jesus' own teachings. Read Revelation ch 2 & 3 warnings to the church, John 14 and 15, the same, and much more. The Old and New Testaments mirror that righteousness is faith in God.
