Are you ready for a new design paradigm that will change the way every analog IC designer works and every analog IC design course is taught? Did you hear about or use the gm/ID design methodology but you do not know how to benefit the most from it, do not have a systematic understanding of how it works, or apply it without having a solid grasp of its principles and potential? This lecture will help you uncover its full potential and understand it inside out (inshaAllah). This lecture also presents the first public glimpse of the new EDA tool Master Micro is developing: The Analog Designer's Toolbox (ADT), a turnkey solution that will enable everyone to reap the benefits of the gm/ID design methodology powered by the precomputed lookup tables design paradigm! Whether you are a student, a designer, or an experienced team leader, you will find something remarkable and unique in this lecture (inshaAllah)! We believe ADT will be one of the most important analog EDA tools since the invention of SPICE (inshaAllah)!

Lecture prerequisites: Good knowledge of analog IC design fundamentals (MOSFET large signal and small signal models, basic MOSFET amplifiers, frequency response, etc.).

This is a very compact yet remarkably thorough overview of the gm/Id methodology. If you read and sketch out the concepts in Boris Murmanns book it dovetails very well with this overview and makes sense.

This is by far the best tutorial on gm / Id design methodology I have ever watched on YouTube. Thanks a ton for your efforts and sharing your knowledge with us.

This webinar is very useful to the analog designers
Thanks sir

gm/ID Design Methodology already simplified the analog approach. This ADT toolbox will simplify the design further.
It looks very promising and is the need of time in this area. Eagerly waiting to get hands-on on the tool.
Though in weak inversion design, current density can be considered as a tunable parameter, I guess this tool takes into account all these. Furthermore, only time will tell how this tool scales up for system level

The gm/Id EDA tool looks as though it could be an ideal platform within which to embed a machine learning neural network that could be trained to design analog IC modules. The circuit optimised over many training runs according to meet a well defined spec that is enhanced to present the data as unambiguously as possible.

This video has helped me understand the current literature on this subject immensely. I am in your debt, Hesham.

Wow ! very intuitive lecture on design methodology !!
One doubt I have though, Vgs is considered will designing the current source right and then the current source is copied and used for forcing the current in other circuits?

4 graphs LUTs could be merged in one only mapping region?

Will you open-source it, i would like to start using this soon and then start contributing :) This is the way how to build and guide our small but powerful community! :)

How can I import my technology files to ADT sir?

Can you make a Tutorial on how to generate the LUT? I made the reference Netlist in LTspice, like shown in the Help Browser, but it says: "Error: [LUT Generation] No devices found in the netlist. Make sure all transistor names start with 'M' and their widths and lengths are correctly specified."
But the name of my tranistor is M1 and its width is WN and its length LN.

In slide 44, what you are plotting in X-axis? And how?

is this method powerful only for amplifiers? how about for comparators?
