Spec Racer Ford Gen3 Build

Behind the scenes video of our Spec Racer Ford Gen3 build for the 2018 SCCA Season. The build process took approximately 1.5 months of weekends, including long hours in the shop.

The build included:
• Removing the old drive train
• Stripping the rear chassis
• Painting the frame
• Installing the new motor and gearbox
• Rebuild the rear suspension with new bearings
• Modifying the shift linkage
• New fuel, water and oil hoses
• All new wiring
• Installing the intake and throttle today
• Custom coated header and exhaust

Just wondering why the header primary is so long? Is that a spec item too?

Need a turbo v6 version. This is why cart/indy died a slow death. No major manufacturer makes transaxles, no reason to invest. An adapted fwd drivetrain is closer to a mass production car.
