Chris Date has shown over the last few years that he really can't handle the public debate arena. He takes things too personally and isn't willing to be objective. This is a very bad look for him and instead of seeing it for what it is he just doubles down. He's acting like a big baby.

This is painful to see Date acting like this.

His perspective on hell really helped me understand and lean towards annihilationism AND I feel he's been unfairly maligned by other Calvinists for that view...but this is just "agree with me or you can't be my friend anymore".

Chris is ideologically possessed. He hasn't got the maturity/completedness to stand back and analyse the statements made from the vantage point of one who grew up as child in an environment that thought like that, and two that, he has the right to express his indignation at that very fact, apart from any reality check that would quickly ascertain that the comment was saying the same spirit exists, not that Calvinists sacrifice their children.

I watched Chris debate the Biblical reality of hell not teaching Eternal Conscious Torment...and was (and still am) praying he would see the same thing being taught with we are all still works in progress and sometimes LATELY.... I wonder if Calvinism falls into the same category as other things where God hands people over to their unnatural ways...and their hearts become hardened and God (in His Sovereignty) wills this to be....😢

*UNDERSTANDING CALVINISM'S SELF-MADE IDENTITY*
Recently Michael Knowles released a video where it is demanded of him that he acknowledge a man who "identifies" as a woman.
This man's self-made *IDENTITY* is as a woman.

For Michael, being *FAITHFUL* to truth - requires the pursuit of facing everything with honesty.
And being *FAITHFUL* to rational reasoning is the only reliable way of being *FAITHFUL* to honesty.

Michael is being asked to be *UNFAITHFUL* to honesty - in order to be *FAITHFUL* to this person's self-made *IDENTITY* .
Thus what is being demanded of Michael - is a demand for dishonesty.

The reason Tim Stratton and the others in this video are silent in response to Chris's demand - is that the same thing is being demanded of them.

Calvinism has historically put a supreme emphasis in creating an *IDENTITY* as a superior and noble form of Christianity.
Maintaining this self-made *IDENTITY* is hyper critical.
What Chris is demanding in this case - is essentially the same as that which was demanded of Michael Knowles.

Tim and the others are being asked to be *UNFAITHFUL* to their personal pursuit of honesty - in order to be *FAITHFUL* to Calvinism's self-made *IDENTITY*

While I would be on the other side of the debate from Chris on infant damnation, I agree with him at this point. We ought to value showing the love of Christ over showing how right we are.
