Here's an interesting tid bit, and once I say it, everyone is going to hate me for the rest of eternity, plus 20 years. The next time someone plays "I Shot The Sheriff", "Inspector Gadget" matches up perfectly. I worked an outdoor concert, and the band started doing the reggee version of "I Shot The Sheriff", and all the other bartenders realized what I was actually singing along with. LOL

OK, now I just want a gritty Noir re-imagining of inspector Gadget. Something that tries to take the silly, fun work & try to run it with a straight face. Especially if they make Gadget tall robot hard boiled detective, but sill have him with his classic voice (or as close).

Inspector Gadget was one of my favorite cartoons and characters and his opening theme always brings me a lot of nostalgia.

Anyone ever think about how Inspector Gadget and Robocop might make a cool crime-fighting duo?

They're even similar! They were both fully human, suffered extensive bodily injury, and were reassembled into a bionic android. Their functions and abilities fill the gaps in the other's skillset. Robocop has durable armor and an automatic weapon, he's built for combat situations. Inspector Gadget is built with a bunch of niche functions, he can handle everything except combat. Additionally, Gadget is more articulate with language and thoughts, so he handles persuasion better, while Robocop handles intimidation better; literally made for good cop/bad cop.

BUT OH LORD, am i happy it exists!

Used to watch this show all the time, even when i got tired of TV and focused on watching things on Youtube.
Plus its one of those shows that have a theme song that keep ya goin'.. Other examples could be "Kirby: Right Back At Ya" or "Ducktales".

Fun fact: The original French Inspector Gadget opening had bonafide lyrics that, for some reason, were never translated into English (or any other language as far as I know). It'd be fun if someone doing a cover actually took a stab at them.

One thing that I think would be beautiful is a stop motion version of inspector gadget, I mean the armatures used would be perfect for creating the inspector.
