If you’re new to ielts, Liz’s videos and website are quite awesome for beginners and especially for those, who choose to do self-study. Never seen anyone speaking so calmly while teaching! Thanks Liz and team 🔥😄

Tips in this video:

1. If you are going to use the name of the examiner, only say "Good Afternoon Elizabeth". Don't use any titles.
2. When you are telling your name,
a) don't say "My name is Sonam Sandhu", Use contraction such as "My name's Sonam Sandhu".
b) Speak Clearly
3. Smile & look in the eyes of examiner.

Disclaimer: These are not my tips, I have just summarized the tips given by Elizabeth in this video.

I watched several other videos before the test but found yours to be the most helpful. Your tips here helped me get an 8.5 in speaking. I thought I'd come back and thank you for all your help. :)

Just wanted to come by and express my gratitude. Got my ielts results in 23rd of September. It's L9, R8, W7, S7, overall band 8 and it's 1 band more than I had hoped. Your lectures helped a lot, especially cemented my position in listening and reading. Can't thank you enough.

Hi...Got my results yesterday. This was my first attempt and i scored 8.5 bands overall. Thanks a lot for this useful video which made me very confident for my speaking test. I got 8.5 in speaking as well.

I didn’t have much time for preparation. If i had seen more videos by you, i might have scored even better. However, all i want to say is that you are doing a great job.

There is a lot of incorrect information on the internet regarding IELTS. I found you as one of the most genuine guides for this test.

God Bless You!!

Dear Liz, I want to extend my deepest gratitude for your IELTS practice sessions, which make it possible for me to prepare myself while staying indoor even after my eye surgery. I gave IELTS test on 5th of March, and received overall 8 bands (8.5 in listening, 8 in reading, 7.5 in writing and 7 bands in listening), I consider this score as extraordinary for myself. One more thing that I need to mention is about this useful tip of using contraction while telling name during the start of speaking, and I was evenly surprised to spot that the interviewer had also noticed that I used the contraction when I said "My name'ssss and he approved that by his welcoming gesture with that little smile on his face (as if he was telling me that he has remarked it) which i will not forget :) Thanks again.

Hi Liz

I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart. You are a gem. The only reason I was able to answer well (I think it went well) was because I had gone through your website and the page which has the "Recent Questions" posted. God Bless you Liz.

Exam Date: 06-04-2018
Exam Venue: Kuala Lumpur

My Questions:
Part 1:
What is your full name?
What should I call you?
Where Do you come from?
Do you study/work?
Is there any training required for your Job? (As I mentioned, I am working)
What training did you take?

Part 2:
Tell me about the first day in your high school?
How about your friends?
Do you still have friends from your primary school?
Do you chat with them online?
What do you do at your home?
You think parents should appreciate their children?
Do you think some parents appreciate their children more than required, and is this right ?

Part 3:
Tell about a time when you did something and someone appreciated your work.
# What did you do?
# When did you do it?
# Who appreciated you?
# How should an adult be appreciated?
(2 min)

After this, she asked me the following questions:
How people feel when they are given any feedback?
What do you have to say about the people who remember the positive feedback and forget the negative ones?
What do you think of people who, without getting any feedback/appreciation, do good at their jobs?
Do you think negative feedback is also important?

END

The only suggestion I would like to give to other test takers is, please don't be nervous. (I was a bit nervous)
It's only 15 minutes of your life where you need to just be yourself, calm down and speak everything that you can.

I hope my results turn out to be good for speaking. And tomorrow is my LRW. Fingers crossed.

Again, Liz, I thank you so much. Love you !! God bless all.
