One of the big beliefs we have is that we are supposed to find out the “reason for being here”.

Isn’t that the biggest f-you to God or the Universe? If you’re already here, that IS your purpose. God created you, you exist, you don’t have to do anything else, you are always on purpose.

We can free ourselves from the extra pressure of “needing to do something”.

Spot on. I went into my first ayahuasca journey with an intention to “find my purpose.” The insight I got during the experience was: “the purpose of life is to live.” I came away with a sort of weightlessness and freedom that completely transformed me. Kyle! Thank you for this message! It helped me to surrender my egoic need to “find my purpose.” I’ve struggled with this for DECADES! “What’s my purpose? What’s my purpose?” swirling around in my head. I thought there must be something wrong with me because I just couldn’t find it no matter what I did or where I looked. I did a bunch of things thinking maybe I found it, but nothing ever felt right inside. “There must be something I’m missing, ” I thought, something I’m just not seeing. Well, you nailed it! Me being HERE on this planet at this time in this space IS my purpose! I don’t have to figure out why I’m suffering in pain or grief or health issues, I just surrender them to God. He’s got it. I don’t have to figure out what I’m supposed to do with my talents or knowledge or skills or whatever, I just surrender them to God. I had a major light bulb moment after a couple of minutes in that was so clear to me that I just stopped listening. It was so profound and clear.

The purpose is to create my own purpose and meaning out of my own experiences of my life that are fulfilling, bring me joy and makes the world around me a better place to live because I am in it. I was thinking about this recently! I really struggle with feeling like I am not meant to be here, or like I was a mistake, or like I am a mess up because of all of my "failures". But, recently I have been trying to think, well, maybe I am meant to be here? Just being me, maybe I am actually, meant to be here. Not because of some huge purpose of "mission" to fulfill, but literally just feeling like oh, I was born, therefore, God kinda wants me here. Like no matter what I do, I have a place here with everyone, without proving or becoming anything.

I just have to add too, 4:44 you started talking about the bird. I was literally thinking about that today! Well, I was actually thinking of the squirrels lol. They all have their place, and they all do their squirrel thing. Not one squirrel is better than the other, they are just all doin' their squirrel thing and being such an important part of the ecosystem just by living. Sometimes when I listen to the birds, I think sometimes they like to sing just because it feels good to sing, not for a reason all the time. The feeling good is their reason.

I so appreciate listening to you. None of us know wtf we're doing, and the sooner we admit that I think we'll really all start getting somewhere, and that somewhere is right here.
