You're right about the power difference, we usually fight over a Cat for heavier, rough terrains work, but some how Komatsu always the fun one to operate plus more comfortable to operate.

I much prefer the Komatsu because its seat is really suitable for everything, even for drivers who are very tall and especially with a large frame. Unlike the Caterpillar seat which is not suitable for very tall and overweight people. I find that unfortunate .
This is my opinion and the experience that I have and that I have also observed around me.

Let’s get one thing straight. Komatsu is an engineering company. They invented intelligent machine controls. The machines are built with 95% Komatsu engineered and manufactured parts. All the pumps, hydraulics ect. They are a far more superior machine than most people understand. The machines are extremely balanced and fuel efficient. They work circles around CAT.
CAT is a marketing company. Only one sells boots and t-shirts in Walmart. 😂
Do yourself a favor and buy a contractor grade Komatsu. Not some overpriced Frankenstein piece of garbage.

Hitachi. I was part of a crew that ran one from 7k hours to 18k! It was completely worn out but that engine still started and ran great! It was a 270, best machine I’ll ever run.

I believe that all the information regarding the radiator placement and the hydro-static transmission is totally inaccurate. I've ran both Komatsu and CAT excavators for years. Excavators don't have a transmission. They are driven by hydraulic motors powered by the hydraulic pump. That is what makes them hydrostatic. Speed is determined by flow, or volume of fluid supplied to the hydraulic motors. But this is different than a hydrostatic transmission in a dozer, for example, where there are also gears for different speeds.
Also, the implement on these machines is a "bucket" not a "blade".
Good information, but much of it is inaccurate and dose not apply.

Having run both Cat 245 VS Komatsu 1000 I have to say thats I loved the 1000, it was so smooth and very powerful but both have advantages, but I likes the 1000 the best

I'm not sure of the accuracy of the video.
However as a long time operator I can say around here from the late 80s through the 90s Komatsu dominated in excavators. Since 2000 the seen here is Cat, then JohnDeer, Komatsu has almost disappeared from the seen.
Not sure what caused that as other types of equipment like backhoes being dominated by Case, have always been different brands based on machine.
So i assume the market here is well based on what works best.

We have both a 2020 336 it will not rev over 1600 rpm and ts an unbalanced junk small cab rough and noise 360 is much batter. the 336 sits unlees the others are down . Spare machine only nobody likes it.

I noticed you didn't mention the cat 336GC which is designed for fuel efficient and smoother even the cat 3D grade control that once you set the machine will not let you go past the depth, next time actually put the machines that are built for the same things against each other instead of making sure the brand you like would win and I know because I operate the cat 336GC everyday and when we have more than one job going i also run the komatsu and the hydraulic pressure is a lot stronger on the cat. I actually like running both machines and I wouldn't have any problem running the komatsu everyday if it calls for me to sometimes like it does
