🥄 EQUIPMENT

🗒️ INGREDIENTS
2 Egg Whites
1 pinch salt
⅛ tsp cream of tarter
½ Cup powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract

📝 INSTRUCTIONS
1️⃣ Preheat the oven to 200°F.
2️⃣ Separate the egg whites from the yolks.
3️⃣ Prepare a stand mixer with a whisk attachment and add the egg whites.
4️⃣ Beat egg whites on low speed, gradually increasing to high for 4 minutes.
5️⃣ Add salt and cream of tartar, mix for 15 seconds.
6️⃣ Gradually add powdered sugar, 1 tbsp at a time, beating for 15 seconds between each addition.
7️⃣ Add vanilla extract and beat at high speed for 8 minutes until peaks form.
8️⃣ Prepare piping bags with tips: Yellow- 8 round, Pink- 4b, White- 807.
9️⃣ Divide meringue: ½ cup for yellow, 1 cup for pink, rest stays white.
🔟 Add yellow food coloring to ½ cup meringue, mix, and transfer to piping bag. Tie off.
1️⃣1️⃣ Add pink food coloring to 1 cup meringue, mix, and transfer to piping bag. Tie off.
1️⃣2️⃣ Transfer white meringue to piping bag. Tie off.
1️⃣3️⃣ Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
1️⃣4️⃣ Pipe white meringue for bird bodies with a swooping motion.
1️⃣5️⃣ Pipe pink meringue for wings on top of bodies.
1️⃣6️⃣ Pipe yellow meringue for beaks at the tip of bird bodies.
1️⃣7️⃣ Bake for 50 minutes, then cool in the oven for an hour or overnight. Keep the oven closed.
1️⃣8️⃣ Use a black food pen to draw eyes on the bird cookies.
