Why The X-T5 Is The Best Fujifilm Camera For Photographers.

Like the way the photos look in the video? I edited them all with my new preset pack!

I adore the Fujifilm X-T5. I think it is the finest XF camera Fujifilm has made for photographers, and I'd take it over an X-H2s if I never shot any video.

Importantly I am comparing just XF cameras in this video, I do not discuss GFX cameras, but I still believe that due to the size and speed the X-T5 is still a better option as an everyday camera then any GFX camera which is simply overkill for most people. (not to mention very expensive!)

I tried the Xt5, and sent it back as it was too heavy of a camera for me. When you add a larger lens to it I just can’t see how it’s comfortable to use for long periods of time. I went with the Xt30ii, and the weight is terrific. Sure the Xt5 has better specs but both take excellent photos.

I was going to change my xt5 for the xh2 because of the grip issues, but I got the l bracket from smallrig and it fix the problem. Also the best thing about the xt5 is you can downsize it if you want to travel with the Fujicrones. Nice video keep on the good content!

"There are two types of people, those who have had hard drive failures, and those who haven't had a hard drive failure YET." Dual SD cards is soooo important, that sold me on this camera

Hello! Great video. This may have come up already, but you can lock the drive setting so that the switch under iso doesn't annoy you. Go to the wrench icon > go to the very last option "lock" on p. 3 of 3 > go into "function selection and check "drive setting" (and any others you would like to lock) > then pick "lock setting" and choose "selected function". this will lock the dial so that it stays in the drive setting you had selected when you locked it even if you accidentally switch the dial.

Great overview, much appreciated.

I have an X-H2 and X100F, although I’m considering the X-T5 or X100Vi for my street stuff, for stills and b-roll.

I really like tactile retro dials, although I’d prefer a range finder for the streets.

The X-T5 could give me a great all round option, given that it could do street, plus landscapes etc.

I am fortunate enough to have the XH2 and the XT5, they have different use case scenarios, the XT5 is 100% my street photography/walk around body and the XH2 is my portrait/work body. They are both excellent cameras for different reasons with the same amazing image quality.

I have a XT5, XT3 AND XH2 while I agree with you for the most part, where a camera like the XH2 works better for me is when it comes to using larger or heavier glass, the larger body and grip is my go to body with the 100-400mm Fujifilm lens, a good combination for landscapes and wildlife photography.

Had mine about 6 weeks mate and agree, upgraded from an Xe4 (which I also love and is now my everyday carry) but this thing is a beast, agree on the evf, I often find it easier to check focus on the evf is easier than screen due to how clear it is 👌🏼👌🏼

What do you think about Fujifilm X-T20 with fujinon 18-55mm lens? How much is good max price for used body (only)?

I am so in love with the xt5. It helps me achieve exactly what I want in my photography. I agree that the mode switcher is annoying as well. I do shoot video with it and it does a fantastic job but I’m about 85% photography and 15% video. It was a no brainer to pick this camera up with that figure in mind. The 40mp was one of the main reasons I wanted it. I love the freedom to crop. It makes it so I can confidently leave the house with one lens, the one on my camera. It’s such a breath of fresh air to only carry a camera and not a whole bag full of gear.

Great info. Been using the X-T3 since it came out. I don't think I'm read to upgrade just yet. Waiting to see what comes after the X-T5.

I started with an XT2 years and still love using it. Don’t think I would need to replace it any time sooner. If it broke I would probably go with an xt5 as it maintains everything that makes this line up great with an updated technology

Got myself a Panasonic S5 II, which if we compare all specs would be a better camera, but the feeling is that it does not compel me to take pictures. Modern cameras are too perfect which is a problem if you wish to be a bit more elaborate with creativity picking things out of focus or not wanting to look at the camera screen (which I am not enjoying with the Panasonic).
I moved from the XS-10 to the pana and will now sell it to either buy the XT5 or wait for the XPRO4.

Again, I am not a professional, maybe if you work with your camera, something a bit more like Sony or Panasonic could be a "safer" choice.

I decided to sell my Fujifilm X-H2S and stick with the X-T4—it’s the only camera I reach for these days. Its classic, retro-inspired design feels perfect for both video and photography. In my view, it stands as the best budget-friendly hybrid option in the Fuji lineup, combining style and performance without compromise and it have the flip screen that the X-T5 doesn't have.

I have an XT5 and i agree that dial is really annoying. I dont even switch it most of the time. Its being put in my bag and having it move around in there that switches thst dial. So i always have to check it before i shoot. And yea i havent knocked the other movie/still dial nearly as much.

I've used this camera for one year, I'd like to focus on cons first, because the strong points are quite obvious:

1. The evf may glitch when the camera is used under pressure. It's a rare occasion.
2. Sometimes I can change the shooting mode just like you do or even switch to the movie mode.
3. The lack of vertical grip is not a good thing for photography.

I will however dwell on one positive point, it is a truly hybrid camera, because it can be almost any camera you want it to be.
If you put a 27 mm pancake, it's a small and compact low profile camera.
However you may use this camera with an external grip (unfortunately not vertical) and 150-600 or 90 mm lens, and it will be a totally different camera.
You can also give up the analogue controls and use the customizable wheels and you'll use it like a pasm camera.
I also like the variety of fuji lenses and overall experience with the system.

I think my dream combo would be an x-pro4 with 40 mp sensor and the x-h3s with the global shutter.

The X-T1 was my first, as a replacement for my stolen Nikon F3. I love the tactile feel of these cameras. I just bought the XT5 and I love it!

I just upgraded from the older X-E series. I wish they still made new E’s. I want small and high quality. This has been the same general feeling as the E series. I don’t hate the increase in size too much. The feature set is kind of blowing my mind. It’s a camera that I want to use and play with. I’m loving it. But I won’t go any larger.

Nice video. Some videos are talking about the AF working slow and not giving good results. Even with the latest firmware. What is your opinion about this?
