Ah yet another night falling into bed, getting cozy under the covers, can barely keep my eyes open, fumble for my phone, scroll through youtube very critically until i come across a topher video uploaded < 24 hours ago. I tell myself “tonight’s gonna be a good night”

I switched from owning 3 lexus models from 2014 to 2022 to my first ever kia the ev6 gtline awd. 2 years later and 38k miles not one problem and is my favorite overall vehicle i have ever owned. Next purchase will be will be the genesis gv90 lunerlon in 2026.

10:17 level 0 is my favorite option in my Ioniq Hybrid. It’s soooo nice to coast down hills and such and stay off throttle. It still provides a bit of regen but it doesn’t slow you down at all. And there’s no motion sickness like you get from 1 pedal driving.

Very sharp looks to this one. Kia and Hyundai have been doing an excellent job with their vehicle styling as of late with rather comprehensive features at respective price points. Really curious to see how well these vehicles hold up in the long run!

is it weird that I can't imagine affording something like this? I mean nearly 60k USD? what kind of people buy these things? or do they just all buy them on lease or with debt?

Did Kia finally get over their obsession with gloss black interior trim???

Its a solid car, though I think Kia should have prioritized making a hybrid Telluride first

200% agreed. Please bring back physical buttons for HVAC! Now makers are following Tesla way and really hate it.

I'm glad to see the massive improvement on the interior segment overall (despite the lack of a proper infotainment showcase). Nicely done.

With that being said, "There’s also a fingerprint sensor inside the car that you can use to start the car, unlock your driver profile, or turn off valet mode.", quoting Autoblog. It took me ten seconds to find this information which, assuming it was available when you filmed the review, was a lazy lack of clarification about a key feature of the car. Also, apparently you need two keys to set up new fingerprints, if Kia's instructional video is correct.

23:19 how did I know you were going to do that. 😊 I would've done the same too.

I agreed with everything you said on the EV9. I was considering it but I only liked the GT-line but it sucks that it doesn't come in 7 seats on the higher trim. I didn't like the climate controls all the way over there up in the screen as well. How will the passenger control their own climate? It just doesn't make any sense. Yes also the track change for music as well. I don't like the capacitive buttons as well on an area where you should be using to rest your thumb or so for the touch screen. They have so much space under the temp controls so why not just put some buttons there. I'm hoping the Ioniq 7 or 9 whatever they will name it will have a better layout.

Nice car but $20k more than a Telluride which is just too much for most people.

The problem with the EV9 is that the Rivian R1S already exists.
When you test drive both cars there is absolutely no comparison, the EV9 unfortunately just feels like a ....Kia. For less than $10k in price difference it just doesn't make sense. Buying a Kia above $50k in general is asking too much, the quality is just not there.

Did you know this video was uploaded on the day when the solar eclipse happened?

I ordered with 7 seats without sunroof to avoid the heat into the interior. I have a big family.

What's the deal with these "minivans" without the practicality of a sliding door? What's the shame of driving a minivan?

Well done Sir. Kia generally seems to have excellent design. Just wish they would remember, for the future, that they don't have to make an electric car exterior that looks like an electric car. That idea is sooo 1990s.

Who the hell can afford these vehicles?

Im not that impressed by this for the price. Especially for kia they always bring the value but here it feels very status quo to me. For the mid 70 thousands id expect a lot better from kia especially when you can get in a gv80 for a similar price. These EVs will be cool once they actually compete at the same prices and tiers as their ice cars. The ev6 seems like a much stronger offering to me. Also living in Canada this for close to 6 figures is just not doing it for me. Maybe the base model is a better value.
