This is basically what Valheim should have been from the beginning.. and I've played that to death already ;) :D Hopefully there's a great variety of creatures, environments, things to do and build etc.

Just a thought. Give randomized conversational dialogue to the enemy NPCs that we can listen to while we’re sneaking. Clever stuff, funny stuff, lore, and “Easter eggs.” Kind of like how Cyberpunk 2077 and Half-Life 2 do it, for example.

The only thing that kind of ruins it for me is the fact the world is pre-made, meaning once you've explored it all, that's it.

I'd prefer a procedurally generated sandbox, but I'll still give it a try when it drops.

I'm starting to wonder what the real difference is between any of these survival genre games. You always start gathering wood and stone, leather and bones, then gradually move through the tiers. The mechanics often do not really differ in any way. Even the upcoming Nightingale, with its card selection world building mechanic, doesn't really seem unique beyond that. This genre needs a revamp or a reimagining or SOMETHING.
