Feminism means equal rights for men and women. It is the belief that women should have equal rights and opportunities as men and is aimed at eliminating gender inequalities against women.

A person who supports feminism is called a feminist.

Feminism sometimes is misunderstood as a bad term or conceived as against men. However, feminism has nothing against men. It is actually about equal rights of both men and women. Emma Watson in her UN speech on Feminism said that Feminism does not mean man hating and she is a Feminist.

The core ideology of feminism is gender equality and it aims at women empowerment.
