I was a little kid, living on the Lower East Side in Manhattan, when I first heard this jazzy theme song. As the show came on at night, when my siblings and me were supposed to be in bed (school night), we would peek through a slight opening in the closed living room door. Brings back very fond memories of a long ago childhood.

The song really gives you the feel of the city at of those themes from the golden age of t.v. were fantastic. I think of Lalo Schiferin, Henry Mancini and Neal Hefti..all great composers who were behind so many of the great t.v. and movie themes. NOTHING like it before or since. We were lucky to have been there the first time.
