A little change of pace here as we continue to finish up a few other painting and flying videos, which will be released soon. Let's unbox and assemble the RR or receiver ready "Lentus" electric glider released by Multiplex. It has a 3 meter wingspan. It is made of Elapor foam like most other Multiplex products. This RR version comes equipped with 6 Hitec HS-65HB servos for elevator, rudder, ailerons and flaps already installed and wired. It is also sold as a kit without any of the electronics. Up front is a ROXXY C35-48-990kv Moto and ROXXY BL-Control 755 S-BEC speed controller guiding an 11x7" folding propeller. The stock setup can accept both 3S and 4S lipo batteries. Sold separately are an FES option (Front Electric Self launch) with optional retractable landing gear and 8x6 propeller to make the model self-launchable. It can also be setup to be towed. Having said that, it easily takes off (even without any headwind) via hand-launch even with a 3S lipo. The assembly is a breeze. The model comes with a bag of gummy bears. I had the entire model assembled before finishing the bag of gummy bears. Just bolt on the horizontal stabilizer and setup your receiver / radio. The wings and fuselage come pre-wired with multiplex connectors for easy plug and play setup at the field. Overall a winner. Stay tuned for the maiden video and flight footage!

What a cool glider. I love the scale cockpit. It would be a great fpv platform 👍

My experiences with Multiplex is: Always glue the plastic thing at the wing where the servostick is connected. They use a sort of glue who tends to loosen. Had this with my easyglider and funray. Just a bit express glue defends you from unwanted joy!

I have been comparing this to the FOX FMS 3000mm sport glider. This is a little more expensive but seems worth the additional costs. Looks like it would be a much better thermal catcher and all around glider period.

How does it compare with the FMS ASW-17?
Thanks for sharing the video!

Nice video. Thank you. I just bought one (rr version too) and had the cularis before. Interesting they gave you some extra magnets as I saw one with the canopy come off. I was wondering how you got on with 11mm elevator throws in flight as all the other surfaces have bags of movement except elevator, but a higher tail maybe a greater movement arc. The wings are definitely stiffer than the cularis at the root, so got to be careful with grounds loops and nice flat field probably best for test flight. Motor looks a bit flimsier that the cularis motor with bigger blades.

Thanks for the review. Are the hinges just foam or are they reinforced?
