The Zero-G is a great hose for watering the plants on my 20 x 12 patio because it is light weight so the incidence of knocking pots over and breaking plants has decreased notably. It also coils nicely on my hose reel. However, a leak from the collar beneath the threaded end seems to be inevitable, well before the warranty period ends I've owned three Zero-Gs and this always happens. The leak starts small but gets to the point of being a nuisance. And the other problem is the incompatibility between the aluminum threads and brass quick connect fittings. The brass eventually seizes and the connector cannot be removed from the hose.

I have had mine for about 3 years. Best hose ever. I have gravel, concrete, pavers, and dirt yard. It's been through it all. No leaks and I have 140psi coming in from the street to that connector. All this time it's been outside 365 in full sun. You need good gaskets, though. I like the dark green kind at my local store. I am just waiting for other old hoses to give out so I can replace them with this kind.

Kinking with most hoses occurs because of low water pressure, rubber hoses that have “kinks” in same locations on the hose, and poor quality. I bought a Never Kink Hose that kinked on the first use. Since I was leaving the hose extended to bring water to a out building so it did not to be rolled up. It last 5 years, disappointing, but harsh climate and stored during long winter. I bought 100’ long 1/2” blue canvas hose from Walmart, can’t recall the brand, but it was connected to 3/4” contractors hose. This combo worked great and the blue Walmart hose is still in use after several years and giver great water pressure for my needs. I can’t find any hose similar to that Walmart hose. But it lasted. The metal hoses work great I have used and I would say are really kink free, but 1/2” metal hoses still give low water pressure. If you can find any metal hose that is 5/8” or 3/4”, buy it!

Been using my 50 footer for over five years in GA and FL and never experienced any of the problems that others say they have.

I love my Zero G hoses and they’ve held up great in the Texas sun. I’ve had most of mine for two years and they are out in full sun the whole time. They even stayed outside last February during Snovid…anything that could survive that is amazing in my opinion. As far as kinking, yes it kinks but not like cheap rubber hoses, sure expensive rubber hoses don’t but my 110 lb self can’t lug those around. As far as the person that said their hose corroded to the hose bib, all my hoses do that but I attribute it to all the lime we have in our central Texas water, I’m up in Temple about an hour north of you. I’m really shocked to see how many folks didn’t like or had trouble with theirs…I’ll never buy anything but Zero G. So now that it’s been a few years, what did you think about it? Very curious.

So what your saying is that this hose doesn't have that distinctive "drinking from the hose" flavor we all enjoyed as a kid? 😉

I have tried this exact hose. It kinks easily. If I am holding a simple wand to water plants, etc....it "falls" about 4 to 8 inches out from where it is connected to the wand/spray nozzle....and kinks under its own weight (forms a right angle). If its laying on the ground, stretched out, and you don't move it, it won't kink (obviously). Yes its light and connectors are good. The fact it kinks so easily is a deal breaker.

Bought 2 from Lowe’s, they both leaked from the female end. I thought it was gasket. A defect inside the hose.

I wish this hose worked! I bought two from Lowes and both of them leaked at the faucet end when I changed pressure in the hose (either by turning the faucet off or by releasing the handle on the sprayer end). I made sure the plastic gasket was seated correctly and even tried teflon tape on the faucet just to be sure but still no luck. Such a disappointment.

I wanted to like this hose so bad because it's light and easy to manage but it leaks at the female end and I mean bad. I thought maybe I could just swap out the gasket with a better one but it didn't help. I bought mine at Handyman three weeks ago and didn't keep the recipt because it's a hose learned.

My Zero-G failed after 3 years. I will not be getting another. Make sure you save the box, receipt, and serial number for warranty service. Mine failed at the female connector.

I have a 100’, 50’ and a 25’. For over three years now. They are absolutely the best hoses I ever had. NO problems. I want to buy another 50’ but they now cost 47.00. I refuse to pay that much. Screw it.

Several years now. My very talented hose kinking wife has not kinked it and she really likes it.

Would be using as my fresh water hose on my rv. Is anyone concerned with mold since the hose will never dry out? I was told by an seasoned rv pro to use 2 25’ standard hoses as they are easy to empty out the water and dry out.

Question: I bought this a few weeks ago I really like it compared to other hoses. But my question is... When it is under pressure does your hose coil? I can have the hose all pulled out but if shut the water off at the mouth of the hose and allow it to pressurize the hose. The Hose likes to corkscrew it doesnt lay flat on the ground. Does that happen to everyone else? or is it defective?

I love this hose however KEEP YOUR RECEIPT because they have a habit of developing a leak at the connection with the house IF YOU IGNORE the recommendation found on the bottom of the box. PLEASE READ THE WARRANTY AND COUPLING information on the BOTTOM of the box. Very important information.
