What nobody is mentioning is that this massive expense for solar and wind farms is a recurring expense every 20/30 years as this useless technology degrades. And another thing, how will the old solar panels and wind turbines be disposed of? How will the toxins this waste produces be managed? What needs to happen is to start building nuclear power stations immediately and rely on our own cheaper gas in the meantime!

If this Government is so concerned about Net Zero then how much CO2 will have to be mitigated in making the materials for 1.5 million new houses plus all the infrastructure involved and just as importantly the destruction of woodland, grassland, heathland etc which would have absorbed the CO2.
