(seriously, every character is Italian (in terms of provenience) in this story, except for Ariel, who is a spirit without nationality, Caliban (who is native to the island which may or may not be in Italy or on the norht-african coast) and the dead witch Sycorax, who was either from a Sardinian Island or from Algiers, in Algeria. This last fact is still up for debate)
