I'll be working this afternoon on second shift at a print in company. Been working there for 6 years now. For the start of my day eggs and a meat for breakfast then a relaxing shave with my Gillette 1975 black beauty razor with a Gillette Wilkinson Sword blade. Great video Paul.

Hi Paul. This is the first video of your's I have seen. I came here from another Youtuber, Sandy, Wiltshireman. I have also been wet shaving for a long time, mostly with disposables, but my luxury shaves (on my weekends) are with vintage straight razors. I have subscribed and look forward to seeing more of your content. I also have some of the Crabtree and Evelyn hard soap in the wooden bowl and find it lathers beautifully with a good badger brush. I have not used the Nivea calming balm in years, thank you for reminding me how good it is, I am adding that to my shopping list this week. Thank you, and best wishes.

Shave every day. Do not get the razor burn with a safety razor. Then with cartridge razor. Now addicted buying razors, aftershave and creams. Love the video

Great shave, Paul. Sound advice to the new shavers. I learned to shave from my Daddy using his Fat Boy, Slim Adjustable and Schick. I got away from wet shaving for decades and now have been back for 1 1/2 years. It does indeed take patience. Patience to get your technique down, patience for your skin to adjust, patience and patience to discover what pre and post shave routine works for you.

A word of warning to beginners/newer wet shavers: BEWARE the Rabbit Hole, it's deep and gets deeper!

Great shave and great looking razor! I had a great shave myself today. Tried using a shim in my merkur 23c to make it a bit more aggressive. Worked out pretty well.
