Arena Officially SLAMMED (Sea of Thieves)

rare decides to remove arena from sea of thieves.

It has been pretty clear arena has been reaching its final breaths.

I think if they updated arena, they could’ve (and should’ve) saved it. But in its current state, I think pulling the plug was the best decision sadly 😔

It’s funny how they don’t remove the shrines even though no one uses them and probably tanks the server way more but they remove arena because they couldn’t be bothered in making it more fun for players

They really should be adding a FFA, and TDM gamemode. They could also add a gamemode that can be interesting, 30 ships on 1 large map with a storm closing and getting everyone closer, if your ship sinks you can no longer come back to life, and only 1 ship can win, this will be a lot of fun, because arena is really boring, it's either farming a ship, or selling chests to win.

Every single player who played Arena saw this coming. TDMers and other Arena only players don't buy stuff from emporium, Arena earns no money, and servers cost a lot. So that was pretty much a financial decision for Rare and I am all for it, I want to see this game get updates for years to come and to make that happen Rare must make a profit. Since I got all the commendations in arena and all of the best fight I had was in Adventure anyway I am ok to see Arena go. It was a great place to warm up before heading to Adventure but all good things must come to an end.

Adventure could be fun if u could find people to fight and loot, but adventure is always empty, and takes a lot of time to get ready to enter fights in adventure. They really need to be adding a TDM, or FFA mode in this game.

To be quite fair, I like the fact that the arena is being shut down. I spent my time in the arena and it's mostly people tdming. That isn't what sot is about. :) Also, 2 percent of their community is playing arena so it makes total sense to close it because they are just losing money.
