The fact she looked over laughingly at Cruz to acknowledge her behaviour twice is just appalling. She deserves to be fired. So immature and disturbing. 🤬

The fact that they're sitting there talking to and laughing with a kid who killed so many others is disgusting.

We are not mad at the fact they are defending a monster. We are mad at how disgusting and immature they act towards the victims families! They have no sympathy for the 17 people killed, which was mostly children that their client brutally murdered!

OMG, that parent addressed the middle finger impressively, demonstrating how to unapologetically give one. It's just super weird that she even did that.... Creepy.

The fact that these people call themselves lawyers is absolutely ludicrous

I'm beginning to think that people no longer know what "allegedly" means. She's literally on camera. Nothing "alleged" about her actions. She's having a good time with someone who attempted to end nearly 40 lives, in a setting where his victims and their families would be present.

Imagine thinking you'd get away with doing that in a courtroom full of cameras

This was so creepy - almost like she was trying to impress that little sociopath.

The judge deserves a medal. The defense attorneys hit a new low with this trial.

They CONTINUOUSLY whispered and wrote notes back and forth to the defendant, joking, often with a hand on his back like they were friends. Disgusting. That goes way past defending.

Are we really trying to excuse this behavior???? I’m appalled!

As the defense you should be respectful towards the victims at any time. Being so chummy with your client. It’s no damned joke. Family and friends had to sit there and keep quiet. All this time. And when they finally got the chance to say anything, they were very eloquent. Imaging losing your child that way. Waiting for years. Enduring that trial. It’s inhuman.

Scary to see how casual they are with him. Joking around with such a person makes them look like they feel he did nothing wrong. Mind blowing.

This is actually unbelievable.
Those attorneys are not very smart at all, exactly the kind of representation that guy deserves.

She’s the type that’ll write him love letters while he’s lock up in prison.

Like one of the parents said: Just because you have to defend a monster doesn't mean you give up your humanity. Horrible woman!

As a parent of a murdered child, I was/am appalled at the conduct of these defense attorneys. I had to endure my daughter's killer's attorney consistently mis-pronouncing my daughter's name ... ON PURPOSE. Even when stopped mid-sentence to correct him, he continued to say her name wrong. At my impact statement, I too pointed that out as just another of the million things I have had to digest as the result of losing my daughter violently at another person's hands. AS IF losing her was not enough!

Recently, I learned this defense attorney died. Instantly I felt relief and hoped he saw my face AND my daughter as he faced the God that I serve.

My sister, a tv anchor, was murdered in 1998. One of the most painful and infuriating things that went on in court was the hugging and pampering the murderer during proceedings. I understand they are attempting to humanize the monster, but have no idea the pain it is causing the victims family.

Why are they both excusing what she did? So disgusting we have lawyers like this 😂
