When I was 20 I was broke and lost so I decided to move to LA to pursue my dream of becoming a dancer. I struggled for a long time and learned a lot of hard lessons along the way. Here are the 20 things that I wish I knew in my 20's for not just my career, but also relationships and happiness.

I hope you take something away from this and can reach everything you want in life. But more importantly, enjoy the journey no matter how long it takes. Thank you for being part of my community and my story, I'm forever grateful.

"Consistency beats Talent" That's a lot of food for thought for a young aspiring visual artist like me. Thank you Steffanina.

I really liked when u said ”only take advice from the people who have achieved the things u want”. So often I get sad because people don’t support what I do or complain about what I’m spending my money on because they think I should study a ”normal” education or start a family like they did in their twenties, but if their life is not something u want, then why listen? But all the things u said where great, thank u for taking the time to film and share🙏🏼

That made me cry, I know the background music plays a part too.
But everything you said in there inspire me. I always have a lot a brilliant idea but I'm so scared, it's he'll!

But you bring a sparkle of confidence in me with your words!

I already set up my mind to make the most out of this year but you reinforce that decision!

I'm going to watch this everyone I doubt myself again.❤
Thank you so much Matt❤

I'm so grateful I clicked on this video, it's one of the most motivating and thoughtful videos I've ever seen, and just the one I needed to start the year. Personally I agree with you on the 20, and although I was already aware of a few, I have to admit that number 4 made me reflect a lot

Super inspirational and spot on. I liked the one about how you treat your body, staying away from energy vampires, letting your light shine bright, being the dumbest in the room, knowing you already have everything you need inside of you AND being grateful for what you have now. ❤❤❤❤

The heros comment is very real. Especially when you're young. I started my career in my TEENS by going directly to the top of the ladder in my area, and asked for opportunities, advice, internships, and beginner positions. I had an easier time climbing the ladder from 18-24, than I'd have been able to do from 26-32. By 32 I had my own business that was thriving based off of the relationships and things I learned in my early 20s. I'm 44 now, and I'm so thankful for the 18 year old version of myself that was aggressive about meeting mentors.

Many of your recommendations rang true for me. They are all positive and true statements. I really liked the one about not staying in the room where you are the smartest person because you need to continue to learn AND building relationships and offering to help someone move forward will come back to you with more abundance. Thank you, Matt.

This is great advice for anyone! Thank you Matt! I can use some of these even at my age. Younger people who use this advice will have a better chance for success. I totally agree!
