Byung-Chul Han, 'Beyond Disciplinary Society' (from 'The Burnout Society') (Reading)

It's not that the disciplinary aspect of society has gone. Anyone on the dole knows that they face all sorts of ramifications for all sorts of infractions, deliberate or not. But still, the emphasis is on "the individual" to "be helped", despite the only individuals really being helped are the bosses.
