This is dumb. If he wants to go back to founding fathers’ beliefs in this regard, why doesn’t he become a deist? Because Jefferson was a deist, not a Christian.

Although I agree with some points, people need to understand that constitution and law evolve with time; sometimes for better and sometimes for worse. That’s the reason humans came up with them because as opposed to the “divine” law, these laws can be made to adapt with changing times.

Free speech is one of the important things that make the US great and leader of the free world.

Just over 150 years ago we had laws condoning slavery. Should we bring those back, too? The laws you are referring to go against the 1st Amendment. This argument is just as dumb as the anti gun nuts saying guns should be banned because we don't use muskets anymore.

You should be allowed to say anything that doesnt have potential to create real harm and there should be the line. There should also be an exception however, obviously you cant have a revolution you desperately need without a few "fighting words".

Nah, I’m gonna have to disagree. Free speech can only be absolute. Who defines threats, blasphemy and so on? Speech is free, but you’re consequences to what you say are not.

We definitely need obscenity laws. In the state of West virginia, if you GD a police officer he can arrest you for assault on a police officer. If you say something along the lines of GD you or you're a GD idiot etc, they can and they will arrest you for it.
You can get a battery charge for being sarcastic to a police officer when they are investigating something. sarcasm against the police officer when they're investigating something can also be charged as interfering with an investigation

The founding fathers did not need to say free speech absolutism, they just called it free speech because weasels who try to say they believe in free speech then turn around and say they are for free speech not free speech absolutism didn't stand on stages as much back then.
