DNC final night Kamala Harris accepts nomination, speculation RFK Jr. to join forces with Trump

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. withdrew from the ballot in Arizona late Thursday, a day before he and Donald Trump were set to appear miles apart in the Phoenix area as speculation grows that Kennedy could drop his independent presidential bid and endorse the Republican nominee.

This was a primary nominee election. Very different matter.
Kamala is his VP and she has been for the last three and a half years. There was never any plan or announcement that Joe was planing on changing running mates so a vote for Joe was automatically a vote for Kamala, his second in the wings, as well. No Democrat has a problem with Kamala stepping into Joe's shoe's. Considering his age we have all seriously thought this through four years ago and we liked his choice then as we do now..
The only ones who are bent out of shape about it are the Republicans because they know now that Kamala is going to beat Diaper Don so badly that there will be no shadow of a doubt about the legitimacy of the outcome.
It is none of your business how the Democratic party chooses their nominee anyway. It is a party process with no constitutional restrictions as to how the nominee is selected. It works if the party says it works.
