Take for example, Shaira and her team, they copied the melody of Lenka's 'Trouble is a Friend, ' committing an illegal act. This is highly unethical and can lead to serious consequences, including imprisonment. What's also upsetting is that some Filipinos are angry at Lenka for taking legal action against Shaira's side. That's just how copyright infringement works; it's necessary to address it because they're profiting from work that isn't originally theirs. We shouldn't normalize such intolerable actions. Theft is theft, and it's wrong. Lenka wasn't motivated by envy; she was simply protecting her own creation. Let's simplify this: if ikaw ninakawan ng gawa, would that be okay with you? If yes, then it's time for some self-reflection.

Ps. I just want to clear this up, ang issue rito is yung pag-publish ng song sa music platforms such as Spotify and Apple Music. From that, it's clear na they want to earn from it. That would be okay if credited si Lenka, ang kaso hindi eh. So that is already an issue.

Lastly, pardon for my grammar, hindi po ako well articulated na tao. You can correct me naman in a polite way :)

PPS. Yes, credited si Lenka rito sa YouTube pero iba ang pino-point out ko. Ang tinutukoy kong issue is yung sa music platforms — doon ay hindi credited si Lenka. The song was released as "single" not parody. So, the moment they published it there and nakakakuha sila ng streams, diyan na pumapasok ang profit na kinikita nila which is hindi nila naman original craft. Gets na po ba? Again, sa YT lang po may credit si Lenka pero sa Spotify at Apple Music ay wala. Anyway, I rest my case.
