Last time I was in Vegas my schedule was something like this: wake up at 12pm, lay at the pool until 4 or 5pm, shower/nap for an hour or so, 6pm grab dinner, 8pm walk the strip, 10pm gamble until 6am, grab a burger for breakfast, then sleep. Repeat.

Also I completely agree with burning out. Vegas gets old four days in, in my opinion.

Actually there's another thing I love about Vegas: the arcades!! There's a Pinball Hall of Fame on Tropicana Ave. E and it has so many classic pinball machines and arcade games (space invaders, Mario bros., Tetris etc) and it's pretty fun and cheap!

I am SO happy I followed your advice about Las Vegas, I'm hating the resort fees, the drinks, and the weirdos on the strip. I love this channel it's perfect for my travels. I am having the time of my life in Vegas right now and I've been winning big. Cheers!

I went to Vegas a year ago and I couldn't agree more with your points. If I may, I would suggest getting a hotel "off strip" especially if someone prefers to retreat away from the crowds. My family and I stayed at an all suite hotel across the way from the Luxor right about where you're standing. Some may cost less and may offer free around the clock shuttle. Especially look out for the all suite hotels if a large group of people are traveling, a lot of them offer complimentary breakfast, it saves on meals so you can really splurge on other things like a fine dining restaurant for dinner, huge buffet lunch or more shopping.😁

Uber and Lyft are now available from the airport. Located at passenger pick parking lot floor 2M. Stay downtown to limit the crazy resort fees. The price of food and alcohol is much less downtown and downtown is great.

Great video! I definitely agree with all of these. One good way to get around is to use the monorail that will save you a lot of money. Also a lot of the clubs are expensive to get into and have very strict dress codes which gets annoying.

water you can buy at Walgreen's and is NOT $4 a bottle it is the same price as any other Walgreen's. But some hotels charge for bottled water they have in the rooms, others give a free bottle each day you are there. Also we aware of the stocked mini fridge. the price for that stuff is CRAZY expensive

Go see Red Rock Canyon. It is beautiful. Vegas is not pretty during the day. You must see it at night.

Another tip about food and restaurants in Vegas. As someone who has also been to Vegas a few times before, be careful of restaurants trying to rip you off. My younger sister and I went to eat at the Eiffel Tower restaurant and we ordered a "lobster salad" to share for $30 and all they served us was just a scoop of lobster over a teaspoonful of corn and we were extremely disappointed and shocked. lol

I've been to Vegas nearly 20 times; if first-timers ask for advice, I'll be recommending your videos. Good job covering the most important things.

Great advice Walter! I would add that taking the MGM tram/monorail will save you a bundle on taxi rides. Pick your battle though and only use the taxis late at night and after the monorail closes. I would not suggest taking it alone if heading towards the Stratosphere - a bit sketchy at night.

Two suggestions. 1) Instead of standing in what can be a really long line, especially in what can be extremely hot weather, to get a taxi at the airport, there is a limo service by the baggage claim that serves Southwest, along with a few other airlines. The limos aren't exactly cheap, but they're a flat fee for an hour. That's plenty of time to reach any hotel, and when you split the cost among 2 or 3 friends/couples, it isn't expensive. Go online and book it ahead of your arrival, and your driver will be waiting for you, and will handle your baggage too. The limos tend to be much more clean and comfortable too.

Just got back today. It was cold, crowded and a lot of unfavorable things, but still managed to enjoy it.

I don’t love Vegas so when I go for the USA Sevens rugby tourney (usually in March), I rent a car because over a few days it’s cheaper, stay in Henderson or at a reliable AirBNB, and get to Red Rocks State Park or out of town ASAP for a little quiet. A couple of nights on the strip is more than enough; going for the best restaurant the locals like, or a local history museum is actually really interesting. There’s a lot of sadness in LV but also of course fun - good video.

Nightclubs in Vegas are insane. Amazing DJs, pool parties and all. I love Vegas overall.

The food options here are truly astounding. Lip Smacking Foodie Tours is an excellent restaurant tour experience if you want to try a few of the best places in one night! Add a helicopter flight to that and you got yourself a sure win in Vegas!
