A new report says a higher percentage of children in rural areas are enrolled in Medicaid compared to urban areas. The same is true for non-elderly adults. The report is from the Georgetown University Center for Children and Families and uses data from the U.S. Census Bureau. With that data, they estimated the percentage of residents enrolled in Medicaid in rural and small-town areas compared to metropolitan areas. We explain.
