That works! I rummaged in the boxes and found an old Logitec keyboard and mouse. Plugged the receiver thingy into the cable and they just instantly worked. It sure makes navigation on the Firestick a lot less painful.

HI, I have a Bluetooth QWERTY keyboard which I have paired with the Amazon Fire Stick Lite.
The problem is, the Fire Stick displays a box of A - Z alphabet letters and numbers. I would prefer to operate all typing etc with only the QWERTY keyboard, just like with a PC. Are there any internal settings which would allow me to switch the 'letters box' off altogether, please? Guide me to the necessary.
