I’ve won some international medals. Honestly not on his level. My best is a commonwealth gold. I’ve not looked at it in maybe 8-10 years. The medals are the reward. But the sense of achievement and the memories for you and your loved ones are the real reward

I mean even if he told us where they are, most of us would care less but someone else who’s watching just might try to get them somehow. Michael certainly doesn’t have to tell anyone where his well deserved medals are. Respect that.

On the market they really are not worth that much, because an Olympic gold medal is 95% silver with the 5% of gold coating the medal. Suppose the medal weighs a pound, and silver at this moment goes for 280 dollars a pound, add the little amount of gold 50 dollars and the gold medal would sell for approximately 340 dollars on the precious metals market. Now throw in the fact that these medals were won by Michael Phelps a 340 dollar medal would very likely sell at an auction for 100"s of thousands of dollars.
