In the fight there was a moment where Bang could've ended Garou by using Explosive Heart : Release Fist. But Bang isn't here to kill Garou, he's here to bring his disciple on the right path.

Bang could have taken out Garou then and there if he had used his original fighting style but chose to beat a lesson into Garou and help him regain his humanity.

Bang isn’t as strong as saitama but he has a will like no other to see his student fall so far and still offer a helping hand, this is why bang will always be one of my favourite anime characters.
