Turnigy Tek Sumo, the RC plane of the week

preview_player
Показать описание
The Turnigy Tek Sumo flying wing from HobbyKing is this week's RC plane of the week on the XJet channel.

This example is Brent's and is perhaps a little underpowered with that tiny 2900KV motor but it flies nicely -- especially considering the very blustery conditions on test-flight day.

Remember: It's not an ad, it's not a review -- it's just the XJet RC plane of the week.

This is pretty much a Swift 2, I use a 1500kv with 7x5 apc, and they fly great! Cover up the electronics with ice cream container stuck on with fibreglass tape. (in full combat we never hit our electronics this way!)

@xjet
Very nice.. Anything that flies without pranging in a strong wind, like the one roughing up the Microphone, is a good model...! I was wondering about the Orientation, I like the tail being there to show me where it's pointing !
I have a Faceted Aerofoil, permanently-fixed, on my Subaru 4WD. A streamlined Solar Panel, to save fuel... Search 'SunFoil', and watch a few clips ; 'Short-Talk' & the 'Science', & 'Mk2 Construct.' are good !

Flew mine after almost 7 years again, took so long to swap a bad servo. Mine is a bit more lively, must be my throws, but I like it a bit squirrely.

This is Noo Zooland where they have sensible attitudes to combined operations, golly gee they even let gliders use the same airfields as powered aircraft! Not like Australia where everything that can be made difficult will be.
