Yeah, technically the Infinite Tsukuyomi does kill everyone it captures in itself, if it is allowed to come to fruition… however, the one being pictured was Madara casting it, and he was allowing everyone to live their dreams in that genjutsu. So yeah, you’re dying if the technique isn’t broken, but you are dying without pain, living your life, achieving everything you’ve ever wanted, while never having to deal with pain, suffering, neglect, rejection, or any other horrible negative experiences. Even if I could live through it because someone is breaking the Technique, I would rather live my full life in that genjutsu and die peacefully in what is a sleep, than continue the lonely depressed existence I live now

Third Impact is survivable, after you get turned into LCL, thanks to shinji you could choose to either stay in your idealized world or reform back into reality
It's basically a better version of Infinite Tsukuyomi which just kills you and turns your body into a white zetsu husk

Just because you survive doesn't mean it's better. The third impact is basically a Mercy kill from god, wiping out all of humanity quickly and basically painlessly. I'd definitely take that over getting incinerated by the rumbling any day.
