Tips to lower your premium as car insurance costs skyrocket

The cost of car insurance is up nearly 20% since last year, hovering at highs not seen since the 70s. The national average for full coverage car insurance is now nearly $2,300 per year, but experts say there are ways to lower your premium.

Insurance companies have to be admitted. They may be working together to price gauge Americans. Other companies have done it before. They need to be regulated better.

Progressive decided to raise my premium after looking into who lives at my house along with me and adding them to the policy without my permission. When I informed them that the person they added is disabled and never had a drivers license they said it didn’t matter, it’s their policy to add members of the household to the policy so I switched insurers the same day

It's corporate greed. If you watch the stock market, corporate record profit came from these "inflation" which are more accurately described as price gouging. Even Walmart raised price of its Rico Rice from $10.88 to $12.98, 20% increase, and then from $12.98 to $18.12, 50% increase. It's corporate greed, nothing more.

Never share your driving data they will say you driving too fast or stopping too much especially if you live right off the highway with traffic lights .. You’re driving too early. You’re driving too late at night . Just don’t do it.
