Ssb is great just as long as your radio is aligned proper. And of course the station your listening to has there radio properly aligned. Makes listening so much nicer. 12 watts!!! Whats that?! Lol.

Just found a sears roadtalker side band base from 1979 with slide controls is a nice radio was 300 dollars in its day made by Hitachi in Japan

I have a radio just like that, except mine says UNIDEN in blue above the channel selector knob, and WASHINGTON where yours says PRESIDENT. I believe there were 3 versions of this radio made, and mine is the last. I bought mine brand new around 25 years ago. I'm pretty sure it was made in the Philippines. I don't believe it is as well made as the older models, but still seems to work well.

GOOD VIDEO❗️ I have been thinking about getting a new CB and have been looking at a 40 CH LSB/USB but i am wondering if i should wait until i can get one with FM also. Never know how long it will be before they are available here in the States, what’s your thoughts❓

Lotta guys run on ssb around here. I normally don't join in, I prefer am on cb. The same guys are all hams as well. Not that that's a bad thing, I just prefer to rag chew on cb without all the q-signals ect. It's my "lazy band" if you will.
