yup, the tube is molded into the gas tank that runs up to the gas cap vent. it cracks so fuel runs into it. I swapped part of the gas cap for a non California non sealed model and plugged the tube. you can also drill a small vent and plug the line as well

Well. I have the same problem. I can't find the canister though.
